Jim Carroll, poet, punk rocker and famed author of 'The Basketball Diaries,' died of a heart attack Friday at the age of 60. A fixture of the '70s and '80s New York City art and punk scenes, Carroll became famous for 'Diaries,' his autobiographical tale about being a high-school basketball star whose life spirals out of control when he becomes addicted to drugs. 'Fantastic Four' lovers may want to sit down and/or grab a box of tissues. Fan fave Chris Evans, who played Johnny Storm, aka, the Human Torch, in the first two 'Fantastic' films, has confirmed that he probably will not be returning for Fox's previously announced franchise reboot. Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton and Damon Wayans Jr. have signed on to star alongside Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in 'The Other Guys,' a buddy-cop action-comedy from 'Talladega Nights' director Adam McKay. James McAvoy and Robin Wright Penn will star in director Robert Redford's'The Conspirator,' about the real-life aftermath of President Lincoln's assassination. Penn will play a woman charged with aiding and abetting John Wilkes Booth and other conspirators, and McAvoy will portray the idealistic young attorney who reluctantly agrees to defend her ... and ultimately comes to believe in her innocence. Tyler Perry's'I Can Do Bad All By Myself did really, um, good at the box office this weekend, racking up $24 million to claim the No. 1 spot and smoking all rivals in the process.
