Fox is putting Dollhouse on the shelf until December, when Summer Glau joins the show, and we'll have to wait another week for a new episode of Fringe, but I'm looking forward to seeing some new faces on Smallville and FlashForward this week. Plus, Syfy has a marathon of the original V miniseries this weekend. Read on for this week's TV picks and previews.
Heroes, "Strange Attractors" – Poor, poor Matt Parkman. It's bad enough that Sylar is living inside his head and driving him batty. Now Sylar is taking over Parkman's body and sleeping with his wife! I wouldn't be surprised if Greg Grunberg is the cast member rumored to be leaving the show, because now seems like a good time for the miserable Parkman to finally off himself. This week's episode also takes us back to Claire's creepy sorority, plus HRG and Nikki team up to help Jeremy, the healer we met last week. (Monday, 8 p.m. ET on NBC.)
More TV picks and preview videos after the jump.
FlashForward, "Scary Monsters and Super Creeps" – Lost star Dominic Monaghan returns to further confound us as the villainous(?) Simon while Demetri and Mark find an important clue missing from Mark's flashforward. Lloyd, who might be partially responsible for the blackout, searches for his son who goes missing from the hospital. (Thursday, 8 p.m. on ABC.)
Supernatural, "The Curious Case of Dean Winchester" – Dean comes to Bobby's aid after he risks 25 years of his life on a poker game run by a witch. But Dean ends up aging drastically in the process. Is it me, or does this show get sillier every week? (Thursday, 9 p.m. on The CW.)
Smallville, "Crossfire" – Mia, aka Speedy, joins Green Arrow to fight crime in Metropolis while a radio station courts Clark and Lois. But here's what fans are really excited about: The CW promises this episode will feature the first honest to goodness Lois and Clark kiss. I wonder if we'll eventually see a love triangle develop between Oliver, Lois and Clark.
Stargate Universe, "Water" – Young and Scott head through the Gate to an ice planet in search of water while Eli, Rush and Johansen deal with an intruder on The Destiny. Does this intruder have anything to do with the craft we saw dethatching from the ship a few episodes ago? We'll find out this week. (Friday, 9 p.m. on Syfy.)
Sanctuary, "Hero" – Magnus and crew meet an abnormal that fights crime as a superhero. Sounds like fun. This show could use a little light humor after the last few dreary episodes. (Friday, 10 p.m. on Syfy.)
V Marathon – In preparation for ABC's revamp, Syfy will air the classic 1983 alien invasion miniseries followed by the sequel V: The Final Battle. Enjoy the classic alien lunch scene below. (Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. on Syfy.)
