It looks as though Disney's big-budget epic 'Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' has been scuttled before it even set sail. Variety has confirmed that Disney has placed the film on hold indefinitely.

The February production date had been fast tracked by then-Disney studio chief Dick Cook back in January. New Disney chief Rich Ross, however, is in the process of restructuring the movie studio. Instead, the the fourth installment of Disney's tried-and-true hit 'Pirates of the Carribbean' will be the studio's "next big water-based shoot."
