'Youth in Revolt' could be the best reviewed comedy released in January in years.

Miguel Arteta's ('The Good Girl') comedy, about a mild-mannered 16-year-old (Michael Cera) who embraces his inner bad boy to seduce a local love interest (Portia Doubleday), will probably not win any awards, but is a modest success, building on the marketable likability of Cera ('Superbad,' 'Juno').

To its downside, critics are saying 'Youth in Revolt' is a trifle, not adding up to much. Still, it's tasty.

A well-rounded supporting cast (including Fred Willard on mushrooms and Justin Long rocking ugly hair) is well-received and funny. See what the critics are saying after the jump.
