Croissants. Jerry Lewis. Men's capris. Now you can add something new to the list of things the French people love: Tim Burton.

Yes, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the offbeat cinematic auteur will be taking his unique vision to France as the President of the Jury at this year's Festival de Cannes. The honor marks the culmination of a long affair between the director of such cult hits as 'Beetlejuice' and 'Edward Scissorhands' and the famed international film showcase: After screening his Johnny Depp vehicle 'Ed Wood' in 1995, Burton served on both the main jury in 1997 and the short film jury in 2006.
