Check Christopher Nolan's shirt -- it probably has a big red "S" on it.

Nolan, known for his reboot of the Batman series with 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight,' has been enlisted by Warner Bros. to mentor the development of a new Superman movie, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Further details on Nolan's involvement with the project have yet to be revealed. However, the report indicates that it won't be a sequel to 2006's disappointing 'Superman Returns,' which grossed $200 million, domestically, with a budget of $270 million. Instead, it will be a completely new franchise.

Will Nolan direct the film? The report seems to think no, especially since Nolan already has his hands full with the third edition of his 'Batman' franchise.
