Yes, according to Variety, New Line Cinema is preparing to re-launch the beloved 'Vacation' franchise, which last hit theaters back in 1997 with 'Vegas Vacation.' But while what happened in Vegas apparently stayed in Vegas -- the film limped home with a tiny $36 million box office haul -- New Line apparently believes now is the time to give the franchise a new start, one that will shift the focus from Clark Griswold to his now-grown son Rusty.
