Arguably documentarian Nick Broomfield's most controversial work, 1998's 'Kurt and Courtney' examines the tenuous and fractured relationship between Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and his wife and Hole lead singer Courtney Love. On its surface, the film explores, through various interviews (though not with Love herself who tried to block the film's release), what led Cobain to take his own life on April 5, 1994. But what ensues are shocking, if not factually dubious, accusations that Love played a role in the singer's death.
