After 'the release of 'The Bourne Ultimatum,' director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon hedged their bets on a third sequel.

In December, Greengrass released a statement saying he would not be signing on to direct a fourth installment of the franchise, and Damon made headlines by saying he wouldn't do another 'Bourne' movie without Greengrass.

But confusing matters -- and raising the hopes of many 'Bourne' fans -- Damon insisted that he thought Greengrass would eventually return. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly he said, "I wouldn't do it without him, but I don't feel like he's done with it totally. I think he'd change his mind if a good script came along. If there was a great 'Bourne' idea, he would love to do it. It's a big part of his life, too. We're still going to keep working together -- and hopefully on another 'Bourne' movie, too."
