Tim Burton is known as a very gothic, macabre visionary.

Now, he's about to get presidential.

The Hollywood Reporter
is reporting that the just-released -- as in, released today -- novel 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' has been optioned for a feature film, and Burton, along with Timur Bekmambetov, will co-produce the historical horror mash-up.

In case you weren't sure what 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' was about, you'll get to see our 16th President as "an axe-throwing, highly trained vampire assassin, promising to give new context to real historical events such as the Civil War and Lincoln's ascension to the White House. It begins with his mother's murder when he was still a young boy and his vow of revenge."
