It just won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short -- so what is 'The New Tenants' about?

A talky black comedy-crime flick, the film revolves around Peter and Frank, who have recently moved into their new apartment and plan to spend another afternoon commiserating on the nature of life. They don't really want to know their neighbors.

Finding out what happened to the old tenant -- the victim of a drug deal gone bad -- is enough to rattle to their nerves. Soon enough, they find out that the recently deceased tenant has some unfinished business with the vicious drug dealer/landlord (Kevin Corrgian), a vengeful husband (Vincent D'Onofrio), a strung-out lover, and a grandmother who just wants to make some cinnamon-buns. img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/blog.moviefone.com/media/2010/03/new-tenants-oscar-200.jpg" id="vimage_2778512" alt="" />It just won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short -- so what is 'The New Tenants' about?

Anders Thomas Jensens'
script is full of New York City rapid-fire dialogue, and echoes the voice of Tarantino. David Rakoff, from National Public Radio, helped out with the script and steals the show as the bitter Frank.
