Sooner or later, 3D comes for us all.

Variety brings word that Paul Greengrass, the Oscar-nominated director of such gritty, serious fare as 'United 93' and 'Green Zone,' is on the short list to direct the remake of 'Fantastic Voyage,' a 3D sci-fi adventure being produced by James Cameron through his Lightstorm Entertainment production company.

'Fantastic Voyage' centers on a dying scientist whose only chance for survival lies with five colleagues who are miniaturized and injected into his bloodstream. The original film was released in 1966 and starred Raquel Welch and Donald Pleasence.
