Hilary StuffOver a year ago, Hilary Duff made headlines when it was announced that she'd co-star with 'Transamerica''s Kevin Zegers in 'The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,' a new take on the tale of bank robbers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. The project, which is to be directed by Tonya S. Holly from her own script, was said to be a new adaptation, and not a remake of the 1967 film.

But now that the news has officially settled, is the project still happening?

"Hopefully," Duff told Moviefone while promoting her ABC Family movie, 'Beauty and the Briefcase.' "I don't know. We've been waiting for about a year and a half now. I'm still attached to the project, and Kevin Zegers is set to play Clyde. He's such a great actor. I love him ... So, hopefully something will happen there, but right now it's kind of on the back burner."
