The Oscar-winning actor ('Ray') and star of the recent 'Law Abiding Citizen' and 'Valentine's Day' is teaming with 20th Century Fox Animation on a feature-length cartoon called 'Welcome to the Jungle.' Foxx will star in the animated film, which will be written by Spellman, whose credits include this years 'Our Family Wedding.' The studio is keeping the storyline a secret for now, but Variety reports that Foxx, a Grammy winning R&B artist in his own right, will pen original music for the film ... meaning animated musical comedy.

One hint provided by Spellman's team, according to Variety: "Life is a jungle and welcome to it."

Foxx will next be seen in Todd Phillips' comedy 'Due Date,' which is scheduled for a Nov. 5 release.
