For Woody Allen, sometimes it's best to make it official, especially when you're dealing with politicians.

Though it's been widely reported for months that French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy would take a role in Allen's next film, the Hollywood Reporter broke the news today that "sources close to the production" confirmed that the former model will indeed appear in Allen's current flick alongside Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Marion Cotillard.

Allen has been vocal about wanting to cast Bruni-Sarkozy, whose only film appearance was in a small role Robert Altman's 1994 film 'Pret-a-Porter,' set in the world of high fashion.
