Disappointment for all you fans of Avatar, Jaws 3 and other films that jump out of the screen at you; a cartel of Japanese electronics companies have issued a warning regarding the possible side effects of watching 3D films.

The group, which includes home entertainment giants Toshiba and Hitachi, has issued a handbook, in conjunction with the Japanese government, to cinemas that show 3D films, detailing guidelines for watching them and possible health implications, such as nausea and dizziness. Stores which have recently started selling televisions capable of showing images in 3D have also been issued with the handbook.
