Steven Spielberg has wide-ranging and eclectic interests, so forgive him if he takes eons to decide which film he wants to direct. According to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog, after several stops and starts on other projects, the director is taking on a boy-and-his-horse drama, 'War Horse,' for his DreamWorks Studios.

There was plenty of Hollywood buzz about what Spielberg would take on after finishing post-production on his current film, 'The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn,' which Paramount will release at the end of 2011. He had acquired the rights to Michael Crichton's 'Pirate Latitudes,' there was a Lincoln biopic, a sci-fi film called 'Interstellar,' written by 'The Dark Knight' scribe Jonathan Nolan, a remake of 'Harvey,' and a George Gershwin project.
