Robert Rodriguez may finally get to make his fantasy film.

Ain't It Cool News reports that Rodriguez has acquired the rights to 'Fire and Ice,' a 1983 animated collaboration between famed underground cartoonist Ralph Bakshi and fantasy illustrator Frank Frazetta, who passed away on May 10.

'Fire and Ice' tells the story of a war between Icepeak, run by the evil Queen Juliana and her son Nekron, and Firekeep, run by the wise King Jarol. Juliana has Jarol's daughter kidnapped, which begins an epic adventure involving two heroes, the hunky Larn and the mysterious Blackwolf.
