Red Dawn posterA Chinese state-run newspaper has heavily criticised the upcoming remake of the 1984 film Red Dawn where China are set to become the enemies.

ABC News reports that the Beijing-based Global Times has stated that the film demonises China and "plants hostile seeds".

The original film, starring Patrick Swayze, depicted a Soviet invasion of the United States but in the new version - which stars Tom Cruise's son, Conor Cruise - a group of teenagers fight to save their town from an invasion from communist China by the People's Liberation Army.
