Not every actress can move from a stint on Beverly Hills, 90210 one year to becoming an Oscar-winning actress the next, but that's exactly what Hilary Swank did. In one fell swoop as Brandon Teena, she wiped away memories of her ditz in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and her brief time as The Next Karate Kid. The Academy win earned her a number of high-profile roles which led her to her second win as Maggie Fitzgerald in Million Dollar Baby only 5 years later. But since then? Not much. The Black Dahlia didn't do it for her, nor did Freedom Writers, The Reaping, and certainly not P.S. I Love You. By the time Amelia hit last year, it was hard to remember the actress who made such a quick and stellar turn towards Hollywood success. But, I'm happy to say, I think she's back.

The roles Swank does best in are the ones she finds a way to disappear into and cease existing herself, and according to the newly released trailer, it looks like she's done it again with Conviction.
