- Monika already linked these soup cans honoring Bruce Campbell's recent birthday at Sci-Fi Squad, but Cream of Darkness soup is too good not to share twice.

- A new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part I) will be attached to Eclipse. Don't worry, though, if you have no intentions of giving a single cent to the sparkly vampires, it will be online two days prior (that's June 28th for those who aren't counting the days until the latest Twilight film).

- Just a quick heads up for horror comedy fans that Suck, a thoroughly charming and welcome riff on vampires that even as a comedy is more respectful to its genre roots than nearly every other fang-based flick out these days, is set to hit DVD and Blu-ray on September 28th.

- Chris Sparling, who wrote the Sundance hit Buried, has been tapped by M. Night Shyamalan to write Twelve Strangers, a thriller about a jury who must debate a case involving something supernatural. This will be the second film Shyamalan has produced for Media Rights Capital, the first being John Dowdle's Devil, which will release on February 11th of next year.

- David Bowers, who co-directed Flushed Away, will direct Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Roderick Rules. Oddly enough the other director he beat out for the gig was Broken Lizard's Jay Chandrasekhar. That's too bad, too. I would have loved to have seen a bunch of Broken Lizard cameos in a kids film.

- I normally don't like to pick on the stupid stuff some celebrities say because I know that if you pointed a camera at me twenty-four hours a day you'd be bound to hear plenty of stupid things, but it still blows my mind that actress Ashley Greene thinks the only two great female comedians who have ever lived are Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz. - Timur Bekmambetov just earned a ton of cool points with me for creating the Astana International Action Film Festival in Kazakhstan. I just can't help but admire filmmakers who clearly make movies because they love movies, which is sadly not always the case.
