When Paul Reubens pulled that red bow-tie out of storage to play Pee-wee Herman on stage last year, it was only a matter of time before talk turned to cinematic endeavors -- he was reviving the character in Hollywood, the land of filmmakers and studios eager to bring back the popular memories of the mid-eighties. Following a pretty decent resurgence lately, moving from television stints to Todd Solondz's Life During Wartime, to the plagued Nailed and the upcoming Smurfs pic -- and less than one year after we learned of the Pee-Wee revival -- word has hit that the illustrious Mr. Herman is returning to the big screen with a new adventure.

What's most surprising -- it's coming via Judd Apatow.
