According to the Hollywood Reporter, yesterday 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' grossed an impressive $68.5 million across across 4,400-plus screens, setting a new record for first-day ticket sales on a Wednesday.

Still, it fell short of 'New Moon''s $72.7 million first-day run on Fri., Nov. 21, 2009.
