This year, Friday at Comic Con will be a rough day. The studios have decided to perform an old-school pile-on during the convention's opening day, Thursday, and between panels and parties, Friday will be the day that separates the men from the geeks. Because while the men are out cold, hungover and barely moving, the geeks will be lining up for another intense day of panels, role-playing, convention shopping and all around awesomeness.

For film, Friday brings panels and cast appearances for Summit's Drive Angry 3D, Piranha 3D, James Gunn's Super, Skyline, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, The Other Guys and The Green Hornet. Also joining the pack at night is the direct-to-DVD 30 Days of Night sequel, 30 Days of Night: Dark Days. Those looking to mix in a little quirk with their movie panels can also attend Entertainment Weekly's Girls Who Kick Ass panel, featuring ladies like Jena Malone, Chloe Moretz, Ellen Wong, Adrianne Palicki, Anna Torv and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Oh, and it's Star Wars Day, so expect a ton of folks dressed up as storm troopers, and expect us to bring you a gallery of our favorite Slave Leia costumes ... well, just because. Joss Whedon's doing another panel, and we should probably expect Guillermo del Toro (sitting in on the Don't Be Afraid of the Dark panel) to announce his next film. Based on the look of things here, it appears as if Warner Bros. and Paramount will own Saturday. Should be interesting to see what those two have up their sleeves ...

We've pulled aside some of the best Friday has to offer when it comes to the big screen after the jump ...
