Writer Chris Sparling has a thing for trapping his characters. He's the man responsible for Buried, the upcoming Ryan Reynolds film in which he plays Paul Conroy, a guy working in Iraq who wakes up buried in coffin. With just a cell phone and a lighter, Paul's got to figure out how to get himself out of this underground nightmare. For his next feature, ATM, Sparling is upping his victim count by two, going with three main characters and according to THR, those characters will be played by Brian Geraghty, Josh Peck and Lisa P – er, I mean Margarita Levieva.

They'll play co-workers who opt to take a late night trip to the ATM and wind up being trapped by an unknown man, a man we once reported was a "large menacing man in a heavy hooded parka." Safran Co. and Gold Circle Films are the companies behind this one and "are hoping to evoke Hitchcockian vibes."

It seems as though we hear of something being created in the vain of Hitchcock all the time, but so few actually deliver on that statement. However, between the simple plot and this phenomenal cast, this one may have potential. First up, Geraghty is due for a starring role. When a Stranger Calls and I Know Who Killed Me aside, he's consistently delivered in supporting positions, most recently alongside Jeremy Renner in The Hurt Locker.
