If I ran the country, I'd blast the news that 'The Twilight Zone' Season 1 is now available on Blu-ray across all television and radio stations as though it were a life or death public service announcement. Well, that's not entirely true. If I ran the country, I'd probably just give everyone in the US a copy of the set and make watching it a mandatory part of school curriculums coast-to-coast. Yes, I'm aware I probably wouldn't make a very good President. Point is, I'm just a little bit excited about this new set.

Why? Well not only do I love anthology TV series and 'The Twilight Zone' is essentially the granddaddy of them all, but it really is just a marvelous release. The picture is crisper than it's ever been, the audio is as clear as a bell. All 36 of the episodes' intros and outros have been included, though I do wish they'd also kept in the original sponsor adverts. Plus, there's a boatload of new features exclusive to the 5-disc Blu-ray package, all of which are outlined below.
