Tim BurtonVisionary genius or hack who's lost his touch? The past decade has not been very kind to the critical reputation of Tim Burton, dotted as it is with questionable remakes ('Planet of the Apes,' 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory') and ambitious misfires ('Big Fish,' 'Sweeney Todd'). His last feature, 'Alice in Wonderland,' rode the 3-D wagon to huge worldwide profits, even though it wasn't very satisfying as a movie. For his next release, 'Frankenweenie,' he's staying within his comfort zone by casting familiar faces as voices in the stop-motion animated film.

Winona Ryder and Martin Landau will voice key roles, while Martin Short and Catherine O'Hara will each voice five characters, according to Deadline. All four actors have experience working with Burton in the past. Ryder played opposite Johnny Depp in 'Edward Scissorhands' and before that in 'Beetlejuice'; Landau won an Academy Award for 'Ed Wood.' Short appeared in the director's 'Mars Attacks!' and O'Hara played in 'Beetlejuice' as well as voicing a part in 'The Nightmare Before Christmas.'
