The New York governor's debate was supposed to be routine banter between the top tier candidates -- that is, until candidate Jimmy McMillan spoke up.
"I represent the 'Rent is Too Damn High' party," the mustachioed crusader exclaimed.
And an Internet meme was instantly born.
So, naturally, we began to wonder who would play McMillan in the inevitable 'Rent Is Too Damn High' movie. Here are the top three candidates we came up with:
3. Terry Crews
Crews was just in 'The Expendables' so he's got the right kind of intense crazy energy to play McMillan. Bringing in a new face for this kooky candidate is just right, especially when he's as, er, forceful as Crews was in his 'Old Spice' commercials.

2. Tracy Morgan
'Saturday Night Live' should already be lining Morgan up to make an appearance as McMillan on this week's show. The '30 Rock' star plays off-the-wall so well on TV, he'd be a natural for the random intensity of the show-stopping candidate.
1. Samuel L. Jackson
Do we really need to explain why Sam Jackson is number one? McMillan's voice is already reminiscent of Jackson's -- yelling at those mother-effin' snakes on his plane or asking if mother-effers speak English, for example. Oh, and not to mention that if you throw a wig and a mustache on Jackson, you have McMillan. Come to think of it, this might just be some kind of viral campaign crafted by Jackson's people. We'd certainly believe it.
Who would you choose to play McMillan in the 'Rent is Too Damn High' movie? Tell us in the comments.
