- Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate are finally moving on making a new 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' after picking up the rights when Platinum Dunes decided not to make their rebooted pair of films a trilogy. 'Leatherface 3D' is the name of Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus' nearly finalized script, which will kick things off immediately following the events of Tobe Hooper's original.

- Danny Boyle is set to direct a stage-play adaptation of 'Mary Shelley's Frankenstein' for the National Theatre in London. Both Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch (who is instantly captivating in the title role of the new BBC series 'Sherlock') will play Dr. Frankenstein, each taking on the mad scientist on alternating nights. - Speaking of Lionsgate, they've carved out August 19th, 2011 as the release date for Marcus Nispel's reboot of 'Conan.' strong>

- Noomi Rapace already has a few Hollywood roles lined up, but she's not forgotten her Swedish roots: she will star opposite Ola Rapace (her ex-husband) as the cabaret singer Anita Lindblom in a biopic about famed Swedish boxer Bo Hogberg.

- Will Rokos, who received an Academy Award nomination for his 'Monster's Ball' screenplay was hit by an NYC subway trainover the weekend. The Hollywood Reporter states that he is in critical, but stable condition.

- Zach Galifianakis was on 'Real Time with Bill Maher' over the weekend, where he made the bold move of smoking a joint live on the show:
