Are you one of those people who keep forgetting you have physical DVDs out from Netflix because you focus your viewing on the Watch Instantly streaming service, especially now that it's accessible through your mobile device and iPad? Maybe you've even demoted your membership to the one-disc-at-a-time plan because of this and hardly even think about that one disc. Maybe you don't even know where it is. Is it in a pile of unopened mail? Is it something that arrived many months ago and you're not even sure of the title? Yeah, there are a lot of us like this, and that's why it makes sense that Netflix is finally offering a streaming-only plan, starting immediately, which costs $7.99/month.

In addition to this new deal, Netflix has announced a rise in subscription fees for all other plans except the $4.99 limited plan (it's doubtful any Cinematical readers are such minimal movie watchers as to have this). The increases range from $1 extra for the one and two disc plans to $8 extra for the eight disc plan. The biggest blow might be for the common 3 disc plan, which goes from $16.99 to $19.99. If you're a current member these will go into effect beginning with your bill on or after January 2, 2011.
