What is 'TRON: Legacy' about, anyway? If you're a fan of the original 'Tron,' then you probably already know ... but if you aren't, then this movie about people in strange outfits riding light cycles may seem just a tad puzzling to you.

We headed to Times Square in a quest to ask people what they know -- or think they know -- about this sci-fi sequel 28 years in the making.

So what is 'TRON: Legacy' actually about? **SPOILER ALERT** Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) is the ne'er-do-well, twentysomething son of legendary software creator Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), who disappeared mysteriously when Sam was seven. While investigating his father's arcade, Sam is accidentally transported inside a computer world, where he finds his father and his father's evil clone. Sam must battle evil computer programs and protect the beautiful Quorra (Olivia Wilde), all while trying to bring his dad back to the real world.

Is 'TRON: Legacy' a remake? No. 'TRON: Legacy' is the sequel to the 1982 cult hit 'Tron,' which starred Jeff Bridges as a brilliant and charming computer programer who is accidentally transported into a computer where he has to fight to survive.

Do I need to see the original? Not only do you not need to see the original, there are rumors that Disney went out of its way to make sure you don't. That said, you should totally check out the groundbreaking original.

Is it worth seeing in IMAX 3-D? If you're going to see 'TRON: Legacy,' it's worth your extra bucks to see it in IMAX 3-D. Why? Because 'TRON: Legacy,' much like 'Avatar' before it, is primarily a highly visual action movie. It looks great, and seeing the light cycle battles on a 70-foot-wide screen in 3-D will get your pulse racing.

Why is there both a young and an old Kevin Flynn? **SPOILER ALERT** Within the computer world, Kevin Flynn created a new program in his own image, named Clu, to turn the grid into a perfect world. Of course, Clu doesn't age, and creating a perfect world turns Clu into the computer world's version of Hitler.
