Happy new year, and welcome to the beginning of another twelve months of movies, big and small. Sure, you're still trying to catch up with the late 2010 releases, some of which only opened last week and won't expand to your area for a while. But it is time to start thinking of the 2011 titles, mark your new Betty White wall calendar with what's coming out when, and share your list of most anticipated movies with friends, family and, most importantly, the comments section of this post.

What's in store this year? Well, the most successful franchise of all time comes to an end on July 15, when 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' hits the multiplexes. Meanwhile, other big franchises continue (most in 3-D) with 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,' 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' and 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.' And man, there a lot of comic book movies coming out this summer, including 'The Green Lantern,' 'Thor', 'X-Men: First Class' and 'Captain America:The First Avenger.'
