Last month's rumor is true: McG, the man who brought us 'Charlie's Angels,' 'We Are Marshall' and 'Terminator Salvation' is now negotiating to direct Universal Pictures' game extravaganza, 'Ouija,' according to Deadline. This makes it the follow-up to the other Hasbro game in the works, the quite ridiculous-sounding alien extravaganza known as 'Battleship.' Should negotiations work out, production will begin by this summer, before getting a release on November 12, 2012.

We can't knock them for pushing this in front of Taylor Lautner as Stretch Armstrong, because really -- who wants to see that? But the inclusion of McG certainly lends itself well to Alison's thoughts of "sleepover party people with orange Cheez Doodle fingers." If anyone incorporates the Doodles in the flick, it'll be the guy who got famous on giggly girl heroines. However, it is important to note that the current plan is to not make this some spooky sleepover flick, but instead a PG-13 action-adventure that, naturally, could eventually spawn sequels.
