There's been a flurry of activity within the past 24 hours surrounding the 'Avengers' movie and how, reportedly, Marvel and Paramount have already figured out a way to shoot a teaser trailer for it' to screen before (or after) either 'Thor' or 'Captain America: The First Avenger.' There's also a small chance they could just save the teaser for San Diego Comic-Con, but we're thinking they'll play it either before or after 'Captain America,' since that is the film that leads into 'The Avengers,' due in theaters on May 4, 2012.

AICN told us about the trailer, while Latino Review managed to dig up details on who the villains will be, allowing us to further piece together the film's probable storyline.

These aren't gigantic spoilers since it's info that will probably be out during the early marketing of the film, but we've gotta throw out the warning anyway for those who'd rather know nothing. If that's you, feel free to click away.

So L.R. claims Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston in 'Thor') will be the main villain in 'The Avengers,' which is something that's been rumored for a good while. Additionally, Loki will be using the cosmic cube to unleash the Skrulls, a reptilian-looking alien race capable of doing serious damage on Earth.

As L.R. points out, Marvel chief Kevin Feige has alluded to this setup before, saying the following at one point back in 2009:

"In my opinion, the Skrulls are really the only viable threat that would require so many superheroes to fight as a team. Sure, you could have the Hulk as a villain in the beginning, but then they have to come together for an even bigger threat. Something hinted about in IM2, 'Thor' and 'Cap' by Nick Fury's presence. Plus, Fox doesn't have the rights to the Skrulls, only the Super Skrull. But this is just my inner geek thinking out loud and hoping."

Based on this info, it would appear as if the film may start out with the Hulk as the villain, then shift to Loki and the Skrulls. Seems like enough of a threat to get all these superheroes together -- what do you think?
