Graham King -- whose GK Films is on a winning streak with 'The Town' and 'Rango' -- has acquired feature rights to the Tomb Raider franchise from Japanese video game company Square Enix Ltd. and plans on redoing Lara Croft with an eye to a 2013 release. "We are very excited to be rebooting what is already a hugely successful film franchise and continuing the Tomb Raider phenomenon," King said. According to a report in Variety, the 15-year-old video game franchise is one of the most popular in the world, with more than 35 million game units sold worldwide. Paramount produced two Tomb Raider features, 2001's "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and 2003's "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life," both starring Angelina Jolie. Together the films grossed $432 million wordlwide.
