A third installment of the 'Bill and Ted' adventures has been rumored for years, but one of the actors from the original films finally tweeted some news: "Just got the script. And now to read..."

Alex Winter, who played Bill S. Preston, Esquire, told the Twitterverse the news after years of, along with co-star Keanu Reeves, coyly saying a sequel to 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey' could be in the works.
'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure' was first released in 1989 and focused on two teen slackers, traveling through time in a phone booth to prepare their high school history project; the sequel came out in 1991.

In an interview with MTV, Reeves said the third installment's plot would pick up where 'Bogus Journey' left off.

"When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," he said. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."
