'Fast and Furious' star Paul Walker keeps up the car motif, getting behind the wheel as both star and executive producer of the indie thriller 'Vehicle 19.'

The film is by South African writer and director Mukunda Michael Dewil, whose script landed on 2010's Black List of best unproduced screenplays.

Dewil recently described the plot to Filmcontact: "An innocent bystander get[s] wrapped up in a world of international espionage when he picks up the wrong car at a rental company." Sounds like 'The Transporter' meets 'Frantic.'
The film will shoot in August in South Africa with Dewil behind the camera. His first film 'Retribution,' just out in South Africa, has a tagline of "'Misery' with a twist of 'Cape Fear.'" He also penned the supernatural thriller, 'The Shades.'

Walker's latest car chase opus, 'Fast Five,' opens Friday in North America, but is already playing in overseas markets, where it's racked up a speedy $23 million.
