Kristen Bell has been taking to any outlet available to campaign for a role in the upcoming and hotly anticipated film adaptation of the 'Hunger Games' novels.

Most recently, the 'Veronica Mars' and 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' star wrote a note to /Film readers asking for help getting the role of Johanna Mason.

Bell tweeted last year that she is a big fan of Suzanne Collins' dystopian-future 'Hunger Games' series: "I'm not just 'a' hunger games fan. THE hunger games fan. read both books twice."
The part Bell wants is of Johanna Mason, who according to the Hunger Games Wiki, is "a female tribute from District 7 in an earlier and unspecified Hunger Games, and again in the third Quarter Quell. It is said that she was the victor of the Hunger Games a few years earlier. She was one of the younger tributes in this Quarter Quell. She is the last living female victor of District 7, whose principal industry is lumber."

'The Hunger Games' has already cast Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks.

It's unknown whether Bell has met with anyone involved with the films about the role, but this is certainly an interesting way to pursue a part.

Do you think Kristen Bell would make a good Johanna? Tell us in the comments.
