While she certainly strikes fear into the hearts of the kids on 'Glee,' Jane Lynch is now set to take on a more formidable foe: 'The Three Stooges.'

Lynch ('The 40 Year Old Virgin') will play a nun in the orphanage where the three young Stooges end up in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Recently, Lynch won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Comedy for playing scary cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on 'Glee.'
The 'Three Stooges' film, a 20th Century Fox production directed by the Farrelly brothers, will start rehearsing as early as next week.

Lynch will play the mother superior at the orphanage where Moe (Chris Diamantopolous), Larry (Sean Hayes) and Curly (Will Sasso) spent time. Sofia Vergara ('Modern Family') is also signed on to star.
