Got an extra $2.4 million laying around? If so, you can own the house made famous by 'Home Alone.'

The suburban Chicago home was just put on the market by the owners, who bought it two years before it was featured in the 1990 John Hughes–scripted comedy as the scene of child abandonment, attempted break-ins and swinging paint cans.

To prevent gawkers and lookie-loos with no real interest in buying, there will be no open houses and all buyers will be pre-screened, listing agent Marissa Hopkins of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage told the Chicago Tribune. "It would be a zoo," Hopkins says. "There are a lot of people who would like to see the 'Home Alone'' house if they were given the opportunity."
