In the good old days, when gasoline was cheap, real steel referred to big, hunky American cars that dominated the roads; in the near future, real steel refers to 2,000-pound robots who stand in for humans in boxing rings. In Shawn Levy's sci-fi drama 'Real Steel,' Hugh Jackman plays an ex-boxer who trains a robot to fight like the champs of lore. The film co-stars Kevin Durand, Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie, Dakota Goyo and Hope Davis, and will arrive in theaters Oct. 7 via DreamWorks and Disney.
