When we first heard that Craig Brewer, the man behind 'Hustle and Flow' and 'Black Snake Moan,' would be stepping into the director's chair for the upcoming remake of 'Footloose,' we were intrigued. He's already proven himself with two gritty, music-themed movies, which means we can expect a 'Footloose' with some edge.

But for Brewer's latest project, he's decided to go a little outside the box by signing on to write and direct a new installment of 'Tarzan,' the legendary jungle character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. According to Deadline, Brewer's idea would be to tell the Tarzan story over three separate films.

Hit the jump to see some of our ideas for who should play the man raised by apes.
The role of Tarzan calls for someone who, according to Burroughs' official website, is "graceful yet powerful ... [and] muscled like an Olympic gymnast." Matthew McConaughey rarely goes anywhere without his shirt, which would make him a perfect fit. Hugh Jackman would be great, too.

Who do you think should play the Tarzan role?
