The 'X-Men' comics are known for excessively steamy hook-ups; pretty much every mutant has gotten down with every other mutant. They're very incestuous like that.

And in the new film, 'X-Men: First Class,' those frisky mutants are no different. There are flirtations and smooches between quite a few different pairings -- most notably a near-miss between blue teens Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult).

The prior movies in the franchise ('X2,''Wolverine,''X-Men: The Last Stand') have also had some notable sexy scenes. For mutants, they sure have basic human hormones.

We've listed some of our top 'X-Men' movie hook-ups, romances and flirting below. (More like the "seX-Men," am I right? Ergh. Never mind.)

Mystique/Wolverine: Tent Hook-Up in 'X2'
In one of the most famous 'X-Men' movie hook-ups, Mystique comes into Wolverine's tent masked as his crush Jean Grey (Famke Janssen). Then, she turns into a whole bunch of people. It's real messed up and totally memorable.

Jean Grey / Cyclops: Dating in All Three Original Movies
For most of the films, Jean Grey is dating Scott Summers aka Cyclops. But in 'X-Men: The Last Stand,' their love ends tragically. Really tragically, in fact. Jean murders Scott after a big, intense kiss. Yikes.

Jean Grey / Wolverine: On the Table in 'X-Men: The Last Stand'
This relationship is the one fans love, and it's a doozy. In one of the sexiest X-Men hook-ups to date, Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Jean get it on in one of her experiment rooms in 'X-Men: The Last Stand.' But that's not the first time their overwhelming sexual tension reached a boiling point.

Magneto/Mystique: Bed in 'X-Men: First Class'
Rejected by Beast, Mystique seeks comfort in the one person who's told her she's beautiful in her natural blue form: Magneto (Michael Fassbender). After changing shape a few times, she finally earns a kiss when she's the "real Mystique." Awww.

Xavier/Magneto/Angel: Flirtation in 'X-Men: First Class'
When Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto head to a strip club to find Angel (Zoe Kravitz) and recruit her for their mutant army, she's got wings tattooed on her back. Bringing them into a back room, the two cozy up on a bed making her think she's got to ahem, "charge them double." In the end, the show-us-yours-we'll-show-you-ours wordplay ends up being about their powers. Boo.

Mystique/Beast in the Lab in 'X-Men: First Class'
The two share an immediate attraction and the ability to commiserate on feeling like outcasts because of their physical mutations. But before they can kiss, they're interrupted by Magneto. The blood-drawing scene right before that, though, is an obvious metaphor. Oh, the little blue babies that could have been ...

Storm/Nightcrawler: Flirtation in 'X2'
They never hook up either, but Storm (Halle Berry) and Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming) flirt quite heavily in 'X2.' She seems fascinated by the dark tattoos on his blue skin and he finally opens up to her aboard the X-Men's ship. It's a very sweet moment for them both and involves some cute, flirty touches.

Rogue/Iceman: Icy Kiss in 'X2'
Rogue's powers mean she can't touch anyone but that doesn't stop her from dating Bobby 'Iceman' Drake (Shawn Ashmore). When the duo reach his childhood bedroom in 'X2,' Rogue (Anna Paquin) goes in for the kiss and finding it doesn't immediately kill Bobby, goes in for a bit more. Unfortunately, the smooching can't last. Rogue starts to drain Iceman's powers. These young lovers have some definite intimacy problems. (Take that, 'Twilight'!)

Moira/Xavier: Kiss in 'X-Men: First Class'
At the end of 'X-Men: First Class,' Moira (Rose Byrne) plants one on a now-paralyzed Charles Xavier before leaving to continue her work with the CIA. Although there's no video out yet, the romance also happens briefly in the comic books. Er, that bald guy looks nothing like James McAvoy!

Wolverine/Silver Fox in All of 'Wolverine'
In the comics and in the movie, Kayla Silver Fox (Lynn Collins) is Wolverine's true love. Thinking she's dead, he goes into the Weapon X program, where it turns out she's also been hiding. They're both a bit gritty and tough as nails. Great loves think alike!

Emma Frost / General and Mystique/Guard
Both Emma Frost, played by January Jones in 'First Class,' and Mystique, played by Rebecca Romijn, are leggy blondes who make poor, stupid humans their sexual targets. In a great scene from 'X2,' Mystique seduces a security guard in order to implant metal in his veins, helping Magneto escape.

Similarly, Emma Frost uses telepathy to make a general think he's got some handfuls of lady, only for the shot to reveal, he's actually not touching her at all. That's cold, ladies. Real cold.
