Now that's how you promote a movie!

If there's anything we learned from 'Inglorious Basterds,' it's that history's more fun when Hitler gets his ass kicked. Apparently we're not the only ones who live by that credo, because Paramount Pictures has just released a new poster for 'Captain America: The First Avenger' that has us grinning like idiots and thinking it might be the best poster we've seen all year.

After getting a handful of 'Captain America' posters that all looked the same as the first one (we also shook our heads as to why anyone thought it would be a good idea to plaster Professor X's face over his silhouetted crotch), it's pretty fair to say that outstanding superhero posters have been lacking as of late.

But this is a game-changer. This has us legitimately excited for that July 22 release date, and did we mention that it shows Captain America cold-cocking Hitler's dumb face? God bless America.

Hit the jump to see the full poster in all its Nazi-hatin' glory.

A thing of beauty, folks.

Not only is this a gorgeous throwback to the glory days of the '40s, but it gets major bonus points for adapting the Fuhrer's beatdown from one of Cap's most iconic covers. What a cool move from Paramount, and other studios had better take note.

Oh, how we hope that actually happens in the movie, 'cause we're pretty sure it doesn't in 'Green Lantern.'

What do you think: Totally awesome, or totally awesome?
