We know we weren't the only ones to be punked by the first 'Muppets' trailer, which started out like a cheesy romantic comedy starring Amy Adams and Jason Segel -- that is, until Kermit and Ms. Piggy crashed the party.

Well, the Muppets are back at it again, this time spoofing a specific film instead of an entire genre. Using the upcoming 'Green Lantern' as their inspiration, the trailer starts out with a voice-over that sounds just like the Green Lantern code, except with a few twists:

"In brightest day,
in darkest night,
no evil shall escape my sight
let those who laugh at my lack of height
beware my banjo, green froggy's light"

Hit the jump to check out the new trailer.

Besides the hysterical Muppet banter, we love the fact Jason Segel actually acknowledges that this clip is just another parody, and then wonders why they don't just, you know, show an actual 'Muppets' trailer. Good question, but we are kind of hoping they release a few more of these hilarious spoofs.

What do you think of the new 'Muppets' trailer?
