Has it really been 10 years since 'The Lord of the Rings' franchise first hit theaters? Elijah Wood is waxing nostalgic about returning to New Zealand this fall for 'The Hobbit' a full decade after the premiere of 'The Fellowship of the Ring.'
Wood will once again don the pointy ears and furry feet of hobbit Frodo, and he'll be joined by 'Rings' costars Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Andy Serkis, Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving, as well as much of the original crew.
"It's a rare opportunity to revisit a specific time in my life," Wood told The Hollywood Reporter. "It feels like I'm going back to a giant family reunion in a way."
The actor, who's now starring in the offbeat FX comedy 'Wilfred,' is raving about the script and predicting that the films will be "amazing."
