He's been photographed with presidents and movie stars and is one of the most well-traveled guys on earth. Now Flat Stanley is going to be a movie star himself.
Walden Media has acquired film rights to the series of books created in 1964 by Jeff Brown about the adventures of a two-dimensional boy stuck in a 3D world. The film will be live-action and the lead character, Stanley Lambchop, will be flattened with visual effects. I think most Stanley fans 'round the world would prefer a hand-drawn, animated approach. Who needs high-tech when it's Stanley?
Certainly not the hundreds of people who create their own Stanley cutouts and pose him in front of photogenic people and objects. (Look, it's Flat Stanley with President Obama! At the Eiffel Tower!)
