If you think 'Zombieland' was the funniest movie 2008 (we agree), if you're counting down the days until AMC's 'The Walking Dead' comes back for a second season, if you know exactly who you'll be calling up and exactly what you'll be doing when the zombie apocalypse finally comes, then chances are you've heard of 'World War Z.'

For those unfamiliar, 'World War Z' tells the story of a journalist named Gerry Lane who travels the globe collecting testimonials from the survivors of a world-wide zombie epidemic more commonly referred to as -- you guessed it -- "World War Z" in the hopes of compiling an oral history of the said events.

It's directed by Marc Forster ('Monster's Ball,' 'Finding Neverland'), it stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, and according to Box Office Mojo, the big-screen adaptation of the best-selling novel won't be hitting theaters until December 21, 2012.

Looks like we're still a long ways away from the finished product, but go ahead and check out a couple images taken from the set of the movie.

Still gonna be a while until we get our hands on a trailer that will give us a better idea of what to expect, but head on over to Splash News to whet your appetite with some more pics from the set of 'World War Z.'

So what do you think of Brad Pitt's ragtag new look?
