"It's like he's thinking, or something," takes on a slightly different meaning in this clip when, instead of Caesar -- the breakout star of the surprise hit 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' -- we see the man behind the CGI mask, Andy Serkis. Well, yeah, of course he's thinking. He's a human being wearing strange headgear! And he's not at all happy about your insults.

This behind the scenes footage shows what we've been hearing for weeks: And Serkis really was the driving force behind Caesar's impressively lifelike mannerisms. Most shocking: Watching a scene that takes place in the Ape shelter only, instead of apes, it's filled entirely with each ape's human counterpart.

Look, time will tell if the Oscar buzz surrounding Serkis' performance in 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' will actually warrant consideration, but, if 20th Century Fox is wise, they will make sure that every academy member sees much longer versions of these video clips. And, hey, we're doing our part over here! So, come on Fox, give us more of this!
