Director Spike Lee arguably made the definitive post-9/11 movie with 'The 25th Hour,' but that doesn't mean he's finished paying respect to the lives lost during the worst terrorist attack in United States history. The director's new one-minute spot for State Farm debuted over the weekend with real New York City public school children, members of the FDNY and a cover of the Alicia Keys hit single "Empire State of Mind (Part II)" combining for one stirring tribute. Watch ahead.

The cover of "Empire State of Mind," performed by James Davis Jr. and the Children of New York City, is available on iTunes right now. Procedes go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
